Obituary of Giordano Zanier

ZANIER, Giordano. October 9, 1939 - January 7, 2009. Passed away peacefully at Windsor Regional Hospital, Metropolitan Campus, surrounded by his loving family. After a courageous battle with cancer, Giordano is reunited with his parents Albino and Sara. Beloved husband of 38 years to Denise (nee Lenardon). Loving father to Brian and wife Julie, Dale and wife Erin. Cherished Nonno to Kayden, Tristan, Lauren and Riley. Dear brother of Egle Zanier. Dear brother-in-law to Nadia and Frank Carducci and Zio to their children, Alex, Vanessa and Eric. Giordano was the owner and president of Zan-Dall Construction and a proud member of the Windsor Construction Association and the Fogolar Furlan Club of Windsor. Giordano loved the outdoors, was an avid moose hunter and enjoyed bowling. He was a deeply caring person and will be missed by his family and many friends. Special thanks to Dr. Kanjeekal, nurse Carla, Dr. K. Schneider, staff and volunteers at Windsor Regional Cancer Clinic for their exceptional care. Visitation at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Saturday, January 10, 2009 from 2 - 5 p.m. and Sunday from 2 -5 and 7 - 9 p.m. Prayers Sunday at 4:30 p.m. Family and friends will be received on Monday, January 12, 2009 at St. John Vianney Church (385 Dieppe Street @ Cedarview) for visitation from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens.
