Obituary of Joachim Bulik

After a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease, Joachim Joseph Bulik passed away surrounded by his loving family on January 19th, 2025 at Sun Parlor Home for Senior Citizens in Leamington Ontario.

Beloved husband of 61 years to Elka Bulik (nee. Mikulla). Loving father of Gabriela Bulik-Lanigan and Catharine Bulik (Tony). Cherished grandfather of Spencer Lanigan and Samantha Lanigan. Beloved great-grandfather of Grayson MacMillan-Lanigan. Brother of Gerda Wiench (late Gerhat, Ferdinand). Brother-in-law of Verner Mikulla (Renata) and uncle of Roman Mikulla (Steffie). Reunited with his parents Maria and Joseph, and sister Urzula.

Joachim came to Canada in 1972 where he would eventually have a career as a Tool and Die maker at General Motors for over 25 years.

He loved to tend to his garden, pond and his beautiful green lawn. He had a passion for soccer and shared this with his family.

When his illness progressed, he moved to Sun Parlor Home for Senior Citizens in Leamington Ontario, where he live for 4.5 years. A special thank you to the staff for taking great care of him.

Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel - Banwell Chapel (11677 Tecumseh Rd E), on Monday, January 27, 2025, from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm, with parish prayers at 7:30 pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Ste. Anne's Parish (12233 Tecumseh Rd E) at 11 am. Burial to follow at Ste. Anne's Cemetery.
