Obituary of Judy Lynn Lewchuk

Passed away December 27th 2024 surrounded by love and family. Loving mother to Jodi Lewchuk. Dear sister to Steven Mihoren (Cher), Janice Inkratas (Gary), and Jerry Mihoren (Bena). Judy is also survived by her Aunt Mary Bondy, and will be further missed by many cousins, extended family and friends.

In her role as a kindergarten and Sunday School teacher, Judy had a special affinity with children, as her many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews who experienced her caring attentiveness can attest.

Judy was an active church member her whole life, both at St George’s Anglican and St John’s Anglican, where she was an integral part of the spiritual community. She sang in the choir, organized bazaars, hosted church dinners, served as a reader and a warden, and volunteered at the food bank. Judy also passed on a beautiful tradition from her Orthodox heritage to the next generation, teaching the art of “pysanky,” a Ukrainian form of Easter egg decorating.

Judy's abundance of lifelong friends will fondly remember her, including the “Card Girls” and the “Birthday Girls," as well as the friends she made over the years attending the Windsor Symphony, the University Players, and Uni-Com Lifelong Learning.

Judy was an extraordinary cook, avid gardener, and treasured her family. She leaves a legacy of generosity, compassion for others, and a loving heart.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Judy may be made to St John's Anglican Church or the Windsor Symphony Orchestra.

As per Judy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial visiting will take place at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - Central Chapel (1700 Tecumseh Rd.
