Obituary of Italo Vadori
The youngest of nine children Italo was born on May 3, 1946 to Rodolfo and Rosalia (nee Simonato) in Morsano al Tagliamento, Pordenone, Italy. He is predeceased by his parents and six siblings, Zina, Laura, Arrigo, Antonio, Angelo, and Anna Maria. Survived by his sister Vilma, brother Ugo and many nieces and nephews all in Italy. He is survived by his wife and best friend of fifty two plus years Marina (nee Sartin), his daughter Monica, his three granddaughters Sonya, Jessica, Daniella, and his great granddaughter Adelina, the apple of his eye. Devoted son-in-law of Ottaviano (Brodo) and Adelina Sartin (both deceased). Lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law Carla Sartin. Italo was a thirty plus year employee of Ford Motor Canada (Windsor Casting Plant), and Local 200 CAW. A member of the Giovanni Caboto Club, 20 year member of Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, Knights of Columbus St. Teresa Council 1294, 4th Degree Knight with Bishop LaRocque Council, and longstanding faithful parishioner of Immaculate Heart Parish. Italo was a dedicated soccer fan cheering on "his" team AC MILAN. While serving with the Italian Army he played competitive soccer with the Italian Army team. When he came to Canada in 1968 he started playing soccer with local teams, CROATIA SC, TEUTONIA SC, UDINESE SC, and of course SS ITALIA SC. This is where he made to this day long lasting friendships. He lived a happy and grateful life. Always thankful to Canada for allowing him to live the good life. Get married, raise and provide for his family. Arrangements entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd E. (519-253-7234). As per Italo's wishes there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at Immaculate Heart Parish (2153 Parkwood Ave) on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at 11:00 am. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in Italo's name be made to TRANSITION TO BETTERNESS or the charity of one's choice. The family wishes to thank Dr. A. Cervi and Mary Catherine McCann of the Windsor Cancer Outpatient Clinic, and the entire staff of the Chemo Lab for always going above and beyond to make Italo comfortable. The ER and ICU staffs for all they did in his final hours. May God bless all of you.
