Obituary of Nereo Pio Favrin
It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my beloved husband and partner of 45 years, Nereo Favrin. Devoted and cherished father to Selina (Steve), Dan (Jaqueline), Roberto (Monica), Brigitte (Nicole) and Natalie (Jamie). Proud and loving nonno to 16 treasured grandchildren.
Predeceased by his parents Giuseppe and Ida Favrin. Dear brother of Bruna (late Candido), Lena (Tarcisio) and predeceased by Ildo (Palmira), Gina (Antonio), Clara (Pietro), Bruno (survived by Luigina), Orfeo (survived by Gianna), his parents in-laws Blanche and George Balkwill. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Nereo was born in Loria, Treviso on October 16th 1935. He was an active member of the Giovanni Caboto Club and spent many evenings attending banquets and weddings or playing cards with friends. He was so proud to be a member of the Trevisani nel Mondo for forty five years. He retired from the WECDSB as a maintenance person and enjoyed many years interacting with teachers, principals and students. Nereo had many passions, including music and dancing. He was an avid gardener, and a passionate wine and salami maker. He enjoyed having a glass of wine and sharing a meal with friends and family. His generosity in food and drinks left a lasting impression on all who visited his home.
Nereo will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
