Jacques, Jerome and Family, Sending my heartfelt condolences to you and your family on the passing of your dear Mom. I always looked forward to seeing Doris in the office when I was working. She was such a pleasant, kind and warm hearted person who loved her family. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this grieving time. Chèrs cousins, Guy, Jerome, Philippe, Jacques et familles, Please accept our heartfelt condolences for your loss of your dear maman. I remember your lovely mother as a very refined, gentle and a calming presence. She had kindly accepted to be my sponsor for my 8th grade Confirmation in Belle Rivière, which will always be a fond memory for me. She and your dad always welcomed me warmly whenever I visited in La Salle with my family as a young child and later accompanied by my husband Keith. Please know that caring thoughts are with you all. To the family of Doris Parent, Thank you so much - we are so very grateful for naming Our Lady of Guadalupe Home to receive donations in memory of Doris. She must have loved children very much, and our home provides new and expectant mothers with a place to live if they have no other means of support. The first babies born in this home are now about 10 years old - they were sheltered in their infancy while their mothers learned the skills needed to nurture and teach their children. May God bless you for your kind support! Sr. Linda Dube, President of Our Lady of Guadalupe Home p.s. I will arrange to have a Mass said at Rosary Chapel (attached to Assumption Church) for the repose of Doris' soul.
