Obituary of Martin Catari

Martin, age 52, passed away surrounded by the love of his family and friends. He was a beloved father to his sons Ryan and Matthew, a cherished son of Michal and Hyacinta, grandson to the late Jan and Regina Janek, brother to Michal (Michelle) Catari,  uncle to Corina and Colin, nephew to Jan (Olga) Janek and the late Ctibor (Lucy) Janek.   Cousin to Adam (Samantha) Janek, Stephanie Janek, Andrew Janek (Sydney) and second cousin to Blake and Max. He was an exceptional and lifelong friend to Tony and (Debbie) Belouis and Tom Grondin.  Martin will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. 

Martin’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his two sons, Ryan and Matthew, with whom he shared countless adventures and cherished memories. A lover of the great outdoors, Martin found peace and happiness hiking forest trails, camping under the stars and hunting in the quiet woods.  He was an avid traveler and loved visiting warm climates, especially Acapulco, Mexico where he would suntan from morning until night. 

His love of music was as boundless as his enthusiasm for life.  He loved hard heavy metal, so much in fact that he was an honourable member of the band 'Crawl'. To Martin, music was the soundtrack to his many passions and adventures.

His unwavering kindness and generosity. A natural mentor, he guided many with his wisdom and humor, always leading by example.

Above all, Martin was a remarkable friend and an even better father. His warmth, laughter, and adventurous spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved sons, Ryan and Matthew, his family, and countless friends who became family. While we mourn his loss, we will forever celebrate the incredible man he was and the legacy he leaves behind.

Rest in peace, Martin. You will be forever missed and always remembered. 

Cremation has taken place.  A celebration of his life will be held at the Windsor Chapel Banwell Chapel, 11677 Tecumseh Rd E in Windsor on Sunday, December 1, 2024, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm with prayers taking place at 4:00 pm.
