Gerry was truly one of the nicest guys in our neighbourhood growing up if not THE NICEST. He was always sweet and kind. And as an adult, every time I ran into him he was so very loving and proud when he spoke of his family. No matter how many years have passed, I will always remember the lovable kid and man he grew up to be. While I have not been a part of his circle for many years, I recognize this is a terrible loss for our community. God bless and comfort all of his friends and family. I hope you know that even those of us who only knew him for a short time will always remember what a wonderful human he was.
My heart breaks for all of you.

I've been friends with Gerry for many years, ever since he started at CBSA. Most recently we spent every day at work together with matching work schedules. He was usually quiet, but you could always feel his presence, acknowledging people with a gentle smile. Gerry would often talk about broomball or his favourite teams, and his love of fishing.
Rest in Peace buddy!

To Gerry's family and loved ones, I am truly sorry for your loss. I met Gerry when we were in Rigaud and was fortunate to work with him for a few years afterwards before I moved to another province. We shared lots of conversations and what always struck me was his love of his family, broomball and his French heritage. He would radiate joy when on these topics. He gave a group of us a tour of a broomball tournament he was involved in at the arena and he was so full of excitement that it always stuck with me. He quite happily quizzed me when I was practicing for my French exams and I will always be grateful for that. Thinking of his friends, colleagues and family during this difficult time.

My deepest condolences to his family. I've only known him for a short 6 years, and in this time, I came to think of him as a great friend. He was so fun to be around with. His sense of humour and ability to make everyone feel better is why he had such an impact on me. He will me deeply missed by so many who loved him. We used to fish together and most times I would out fish him ( whether I cheated or not) a good friend told me today you never get skunked when fishing in heaven. I hope that's true.
