Obituary of Domenico Olivito
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Domenico Olivito, on October 5, 2024 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 64.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 31 years Carmelina. Loving father of Daniella (Amber) Bellaire, Anthony Olivito and Marciano Olivito. Dear Nonno to Penelope and Katherine Bellaire.
Loving son of the late Antonio and late Caterina Olivito. Adored son in law of Marciano and Incoronata Cipriano. Cherished brother of the late Saverio (Pina) Olivito, the late Giovanni, the late Teresa (late Luigi) Bitonti, Barbara (Roberto) Recine, Rosa (Salvatore) Russano, Frank (Maryanne) Olivito, Salvatore (Gloria) Olivito. Dear brother in law of Cindy (Frank) Simone, the late Rocco (Shelly) Cipriano and Mirella (Howard) Allison.
He will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Domenico worked 25 years in the auto industry before he went on to dedicate 13 years at the Ciociaro Club where he retired in 2021. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting and fishing, boating, camping and Whopper Wednesday’s.
He loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed gardening, making wine and raising rabbits.
A big thank you to our entire family for their love and care while Domenico was in hospital. Thank you to the staff of Windsor Regional - Met Campus and the Cancer Clinic for their compassion and support throughout this journey.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Windsor Chapel South, 3048 Dougall Avenue, (519 253 7236) from 2-5pm & 7-9pm. Parish prayer to take place at 8:30pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 9:00 am until the time of the procession at 10:00 am to St. Angela Merici Parish for Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy donations in his honor can be made to the family who will direct them to charities of their choosing.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God took you home.
