Obituary of Leonard Dean
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Len Dean, 80 years old on Thursday, October 3, 2024.
He died peacefully with his family by his side.
Beloved husband and best friend of Sandra Dean (nee Rhodes) for 59 years.
Much loved father of Sandy and David Gene, Tom Dean and Jacquie.
Dearly loved grandfather of Samantha, Deanna, and Blaise.
Dear brother to Margaret Abraham (late Eddie), Bill Dean (late Laurel), Pat Desrosiers (Gord).
Predeceased by parents Thomas and Gwendolyn Dean (nee Lloyd) and siblings, Gwen Argent (late Harold), Edward Dean (late Ruth), Vera Brabant (late Ray), Donald Dean (wife Carol), Bernard Dean (wife Irene), Reginald Dean (late Nancy).
He will be sadly missed by many brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Len retired from Chrysler Canada after 30 years at the young age of 50. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved boating, woodworking, enjoyed his winters in Florida and his summers in Muskoka. Len loved a good time with his family and friends and was always the first to jump in if anyone needed a hand. A special thanks to Windsor Essex Hospice on Empress Street for their compassion, care and support.
Cremation has taken place.
Celebration of Life will be held from 1pm to 4pm on Wednesday, October 9th at Windsor Chapel Banwell 11677 Tecumseh Road East, in Windsor.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County would be appreciated by the family.
