Obituary of David Louis Chisnell

82 years.  Born in Pontiac, Michigan.  Passed away on September 29, 2024 at Regency Park Nursing Home, Windsor, Ontario.  Beloved husband of Geraldine Louise Chisnell (nee Ratcliffe).  Loving father to Marie (Rogelio) Sanchez and the late Pearl (Mike) Peters.  Dear step father to Kathleen (Mark) Green and Christopher Rene.  Survived by his grandson Michael Peters II.  Dear brother to Jean Chisnell and Tom Chisnell.  Dear uncle to several neices and nephews.  David worked for Marentette Brothers during the initial construction of the QEW, he was a mechanic for several Utility Companies for many years and a First Responder for Electrical Companies, specifically during the time of Hurricane Katrina and the major Ice Storm in Mississippi.  He also worked in Road Construction as a heavy equipment mechanic in Kenya, South Africa for 7 years.   He was an avid bird watcher and made daily visits to the Peregrin falcons living under the Ambassador Bridge.  He also loved to visit new places.  A special thank you to the staff at Regency Park Nursing Home for the care and compassion provided to David.  Cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 1985 Rossini Blvd, Windsor, Ontario on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.  Rev Keith Ratcliffe and Rev Andrew Ratcliffe officiating.  Donations to Gethsemane Lutheran (Windsor) or Peace Lutheran Church (Windsor) would be appreciated by the family.  Condolences and memories can be shared online at www.windsorchapel.com
