Concettina “Connie” Borrelli
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Connie Borrelli (nee Cerbini) announces her passing on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the age of 89. Connie was the beloved wife of the late Luigi Borrelli and a devoted companion to Joe Thomas for 19 wonderful years. She was a loving mother to Massimo Borrelli, Louis Borrelli (Lesley), and Annalisa Byer (Lance), and a cherished grandmother to her grandchildren: Massimo Jr. (Elena), Matthew (Amy), Louis (Alison), Monica, Louis III, Anthony, Joseph, Connie, Kenny, Marlon, and great-grandchildren Gioia, Massimo III, and Serafina.
Connie was a treasured sister to the late Delfina Pipolo (Late Luigi), Norina Marcelli (Late Gino), Evana Macri, and the late Leone Cerbini, as well as a beloved sister-in-law to Laura Borrelli and Carol Borrelli. Connie will also be deeply missed by the wonderful family of Joe Thomas. She was predeceased by her loving parents, Antonio and Vincenza Cerbini, and dear brothers and sisters in-law Santo Borrelli (Vera), Pietro Borrelli (Rosina), Michael Borrelli (Virginia), Carmen Borrelli, Frank Borrelli (Ursula), Mario Borrelli, Ralph Borrelli (Rafaella), Fortunato Borrelli (Teresa), Theresa Borrelli, and Asuntina Mirabelle.
Connie Borrelli was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who exemplified unconditional love and emotional support for her family. With her profound wisdom and insight, she taught those around her the true value of time spent with family and friends, emphasizing that life is not solely about work and financial success. Connie was an elegant, gentle, beautiful and intelligent woman who believed in respect and admiration from all who knew her. Her warmth and kindness created lasting bonds, and she will be dearly missed by her family and friends, who she valued immensely.
Connie’s family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Chartwell St. Clair Beach, as well as the doctors and nurses at Windsor Regional Hospital - Met Campus for their outstanding care and support.
A private family service has already taken place. A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 11am at St. Angela Merici Church (980 Louis Ave.). In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Canadian Lung Association, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Kidney Foundation or Transition to Betterness.
