Obituary of Carmela Mule

MULE, Carmela (Iemma) July 22, 1933 - August 19, 2024 Passed away peacefully while residing at Extendicare Southwood Lakes long term care home in Windsor. She had recently celebrated her 91st birthday. Reunited with her husband Vincenzo Mule (1996). Predeceased by her parents Giuseppe and Maria (Manago) Iemma and her in-laws Salvatore and Maria (Salinitri) Mule. Dearest sister of Rosina Preterotti (Rocco) (USA), Giuseppa Varacalli (Vincenzo) (Canada), Antonietta Preterotti (Giuseppe) (Italy), Lina Ferreri (Cosimo) (Australia), Luigi Iemma (Antonia) (Australia), Annunziata Marzano (Giuseppe) (Australia), Caterina Varacalli (Giuseppe) (Australia), Attilio Iemma (Natalina) (Australia), Vincenzo Iemma (Giuseppina) (Australia). Cherished sister-in-law of Rosa and Salvatore Nobile, Giuseppe and Antonietta Mule, Angela and Berardino Petosa and Rocco Mule (all from Montreal, Quebec). She was loved and adored by her many nieces and nephews from Canada, USA, Italy and Australia. Carmela was a talented seamstress for many years. She enjoyed gardening and harvesting, cooking and sharing her harvest and baked goods with family and friends. Carmela always loved to host the many relatives and friends that visited. Her faith in God flowed through her heart daily until her last breath. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Special thanks to Dr. Carlini, Dolce Vita Retirement Home (Franca, Tony and staff) and all the staff at Extendicare Southwood Lakes. Visitation on Saturday August 24, 2024 at Windsor Chapel (Central) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. beginning at 9:00 am. Leaving the Funeral Home at 10:15 a.m. to St. Angela Merici Church, 980 Louis Ave, Windsor for Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Entombment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens, 1100 Division Rd, Windsor. If you so desire, donations in memory of Carmela may be made to the Diabetes Association and/or the Heart and Stroke foundation.
