Obituary of Max Richard Glassco

It is with a heavy heart we announce the sudden passing of Max Richard Glassco (July 5th 1949 - July 18th, 2024) at the young age of 75. A beloved husband and very best friend to Ilona Glassco, older brother to David Glassco, Son-in-Law to Ica Neni and Jani Bacsi, loving Father to Taunia Kittler, Dawn DiGiorgio and an exceptional Dad to his 'baby girl' Aliz Glassco. A cherished grandfather to Basil, Hayden, Theanna, Adam, Victoria and impactful relative, friend, mentor and colleague.

Max had a professional demeaner with traditional values and was always well-dressed. A calm, happy and truly well-spoken gentleman who valued family more than anything and made sure to tell his loved ones, he loved them. He had a vast knowledge of architecture and the evolution of events within Lasalle and Windsor-Essex County, received credentials in college for computer software and technology and enjoyed a variety of hobbies. He often spoke of his sailing adventures in the Cayman Islands wherein he acquired a professional scuba diving license and became an instructor.

In his later years, he worked in the automotive industry and averted his love of boats to motorcycles, riding from one destination to the next with his wife Ilona and his biker buddies. His simple joys included making his wife happy, coffee dates with cousins, daddy-daughter days, watching 'beat em up, shoot em up' action films with his grandkids, taking his dogs to the dog park and kicking it back with family, with an endless supply of Coca-Cola's. He took risks, gave a helping hand to those in need and remained optimistic even in the darkest of times. After retirement, he quickly curated business as an Uber driver to remain in a social environment and meet new people. A man remembered, loved and truly to be missed.

A private visitation will take place followed by a Celebration of Life for extended family and friends at a later date.  In his memory donation can be made to Trees of Remembrance.
