Dear Petra and Lisa I am so sorry to hear about the passing away of your mother and would like to express my sincere commiserations. Maureen and I met at the Elgar Machine Tool Company in Acton, London around 1960 - we both took up jobs in Germany - Maureen in Bielefeld and I in Dusseldorf - and both decided that we would marry a German involved in machine tools. My husband and I also immigrated to Canada where we lived for five years but in 1970 we decided to return to Germany. Since then Maureen and I kept contact with Christmas letters and E-mails. It was a wonderful friendship, we had so much in common. Much love. Sheila Brass (nee Smith).

Dear Petra and Lisa Your mother and I were friends for about 50 years. I am sure that you will hear those words frequently because she was so loyal and loving to all of her friends. A trait that makes friendships last a lifetime. Your mother was also gifted in leadership, encouragement and teaching. I will miss her greatly but because of our faith I can rest knowing where she is now and that we will meet again one day.. You were blessed with wonderful parents.

Sending my deepest condolences to Maureens family. She was a wonderful friend and leader of the Monday afternoon bible study. Will miss her leadership and commitment to our studies, our morning breakfast outings, our good talks and especially all our laughter. I met Maureen through a mutual friend over 20 years ago and I'm grateful for the memories that I will cherish forever. Petra and Lisa, you had a wonderful mother and I hope all those precious memories (especially her 80th birthday cruise) carry you through the tough ahead.

My deepest sympathy to Maureen’s family. I attended church with her and was involved in Bible studies with her for many years, We shared a love of reading and cats among other things. She was a dear friend of 46 years and I will miss her so very much. Brenda van Vugt
