Obituary of Hanna (Johnny) Sarweh

Passed away peacefully on May 26, 2024 surrounded by family, in his 87th year. An exceptionally caring and kind-hearted man. Dearly loved and cherished husband of Amal, adored father of the late Hani, Basel (Briana) and Wassim (Celina). Much loved grandfather of 12 grandchildren that loved their ‘Jiddo’. Johnny was a world class musician, a master at the “Kanoun”. He travelled the world, touring many countries while sharing his gift of music. He was recognized internationally as a multi-award winner for his expertise as a performer, teacher and composer. He will be missed by many friends and family. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 28th, 2024 from 6pm - 9pm at Saint Simeon Stylites Melkite Catholic Church (8700 Jerome St. Windsor). Visitation will continue on Wednesday, May 29th, 2024 at the Church from 10am until the time of Funeral Mass at 11am. Procession to follow to Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
