Obituary of Mary Lynne Biggs (née Naylor)
Passed away at the age of 70 on May 13th 2024 with family by her side. Loving wife to Ric. Proud mother to Nicki (Scott) and Jeff (Erin). Caring grandmother to Amy and Meri, and Mee Maw to Jack. Dear sister to Marguerite. Listening ear to nieces, nephews and cousins. Friend to a countless many, including the parishioners of St. Mary’s Church (Walkerville) and Sorority.
Mary was as diverse in her expressions of love as was the diversity of people she loved. All were welcome in her home; young and old, rich and poor, friend and stranger. She was a lifelong Anglican who sought the face of Jesus in everyone she met. She was dedicated to her children, both those she gave birth to, and those she met along the way. Above all else, she loved her family. A lover of music and song, Mary contributed her talents to many groups, such as SingOut London, the Choir of St. Bart’s Church, and the 4Praise Quartet. She revelled in the outdoors, including Girl Guides, gardening, bird watching, and camping at her beloved trailer.
Mary was very grateful for the support and care she received from professionals and volunteers at both the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre and the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County. In lieu of flowers her family encourages charitable donations to these institutions.
A visitation and funeral ceremony celebrating Mary will be held starting at 11 am on June 8, 2024, at St Mary’s Anglican Church (Walkerville) in Windsor, Ontario.
Mary will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
