Mama was a beacon of strength for the family and everyone around her for decades; I remember how she use to bake while growing up and making nice popcorn, her role in ensuring St Mathews choir stands out from other choirs in the whole of Akoko with our unique uniform, traveling to Ibadan in sourcing for quality materials. Mama was a firm believer and a disciplinarian. May you rest in peace and continue to watch over the family. Adieu.

Dear Mama,
Just when we thought we were all going to enjoy a new breadth of new beginnings, new songs and a new dawn.
Just when we thought love and unity had finally come to bind us together with you being the arrow head,
You left us suddenly mama.
You blessed us with your presences, prayers and love when you were with us and for these and more you will be missed so much.
Rest well Mama.

Should Angels perish if the world would end?
I wonder if we'll ever overcome this loss: of a defender and protector, of a lover and helper, of a friend and comforter, of an angel indeed. Not the Messiah but you lived your life for others. Short, laborious, filled all with self sacrifice to bring smiles on the faces of countless humans who benefitted so much from your immense love.

It is with a heavy heart that I'm writing this tribute. Mummy ikare was the mother of all during her Days, had it not been for her intervention, I don't think I would be the kind of person I'm today. TO MY QUINTESSENTIAL MOTHER: A LIFE WOVEN WITH LOVE
"Many woman do noble things, but you surpass them all." Prov. 31:29
It has taken me forever to write this because I have not yet accepted the fact that you are no longer here with us. It is very surreal writing this but I take solace in knowing that you are in a better place.
Mum, you were such a great person for me and all around you. I remembered vividly, when my fiancee then, MISS MOTUNRAYO brought me home, you accepted me in an atmosphere permeated with warmth and genuine love.
Mum you were not just a mother; you were a pillar of this family, a guiding light, and a source of endless kindness. A woman who touched the lives of countless others with her unwavering love, unwavering strength, and unwavering faith.
Your name itself, Victoria, meaning "victory," perfectly embodies the spirit you carried throughout your life. Indeed, you fought the good fight of faith and ended Victoriously.
A Legacy of Love:
You took my wife from childhood and nurture her till you gave her hand in marriage. During our wedding, Yourself and Grandpa supported us with everything, you did the wedding for us. How can I forget this heart of love? Even when I was adamant in some certain things that can make you withdraw your daughter from me, you didn't bother, you keep on showing the full doze of your love.
When I was in Seminary, I lost counts of you love, care and support. Your prayers, words of encouragement are second to none. MYSELF, MY WIFE, IYANUOLUWA and MARVELOUS are indeed grateful to God for your life.
A Force of Strength:
Grandma wasn't afraid of challenges. Life presented its obstacles, but you faced them with unwavering determination. Her strength was an inspiration, a silent teacher showing us that with faith and resilience, we can overcome anything.
A Life of Faith:
One thing about you is your faith, you live your entire life on a strong faith and that is the cornerstone of her being. It guided her actions, shaped her character, and provided her with unwavering hope. She lived a life that reflected her beliefs, a testament to the power of faith to see us through life's journey.
Grandma legacy isn't etched in stone or written in grand accolades. It's woven into the tapestry of our hearts, a masterpiece crafted with the threads of love, kindness, and unwavering faith. She taught us the importance of family, the power of forgiveness, and the enduring strength of the human spirit. You binding us with love and respect.
She nurtured her children, supported her spouse to the very last end, and welcomed everyone into her embrace. Her absence leaves a gaping hole in our hearts, a tear in the fabric we shared.
But even in our grief, we find solace. Your legacy lives on in the values you instilled in us, the love you poured out so freely, and the memories that will forever be cherished.
My saying good night is not in hopelessness, but in full assurance that "God will raise us from the dead by His Power; just as he raised our Lord from the dead." 1Cor. 6:14
We really miss you.

MUMMY IKARE!!!! JUST LIKE THAT???
I never would have thought I’d be writing a tribute even in 20 years from now. My siblings and I grew up to know you as a second mother to us and another sister to our mother to a point that you gave me Kehinde which is a traditional name for every Yoruba Twin and in my case you symbolically gave because Bunmi was born just two months after me whom Mummy gave Taye ( a name she called us till her last breath) Death why? Or do I ask God why?
Why does such an industrialist and a person whose heart is filled with love and care for all go this soon?
While I was growing up, Ikare was the only place we knew as vacation spot outside Ijero. Mummy ikare would give us special treats and even at return give my Mom clothes and wares.
Mummy would accompany Daddy Ikare a million times to ipoti on visit and load their trunk with Yam, plantains, live chicken, creates of egg and other food items then by their return give all of us money.
The love grew and waxed such that when I was in the university in Akungba, my first home became Ikare. Here, the bond became almost undetachable. Mummy spoilt me, yes!!! She did. She gave me almost every food item that I needed while in college and pocket money that till I graduated, I never lacked anything. I remember a night I was praying in my room and Mummy came to join me having heard my voice from the living room. Oh my!! Her generosity was next to none as her home was just like an hotel, filled with kids that she took from the streets and trained them and even kids from families.
Eni Sewu “ No harm” was Mummy and I’s slang whenever we got on the phone or see even even I came visiting on her sick bed. She held my hand and said “Eni Sewu” Hmmmm!! How do I even ever replace her sense of humor? Who is going to meet me with smile and say BO-BO again?
You wrapped your arms around us even till death Mummy, you told us not to worry, you cared for us all, I will never forget how much love you had for my Mom over everyone else that even on your sick bed while Bunmi and myself sat close to you, you said many times “Bami ki Mummy e ooo, so funwon wipe A o Pade Layo” Send my regards to your mom and tell her we will meet in peace.
You served God Mummy, Yes!! You did!!! We dare not get late to church on Sundays, I saw a lot of her positive impacts for the Boys Brigade in Anglican Church Arigidi and the Ushering department. Mummy loved to sing Hymns and prayed a lot so much that on her sick bed, she would ask us pass her phone and opened Hymns then sing.
Yes, the scar will forever be irremovable but the comfort is in the fact that you’re with the Lord and we will see you again soon with a hug but till then, Rest well dear Mother.
Your Dear Kehinde and Bo-Bo

Mummy Bunmi, was more than just a brief presence in my life; she was a beacon of warmth and kindness whose influence will forever resonate in my heart. In the short time that I had the privilege of meeting and caring for her, she welcomed me not just as a her daughters’ friend , but as a daughter. Her compassionate spirit and radiant smile brought light to my days and comfort to those around her.
I deeply regret not capturing that last photograph she wished for one of those days I visited her in the hospital; she wanted a photo of us , a memento intended for her daughter Bunmi, as she embarked on her own maternal journey in London. It would have been a testament to mummys’ enduring love and the familial bonds she cherished deeply.
Mummy’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with dedication to her faith, her family, and her community. From her many years shaping young minds as a devoted educator to her selfless service in her local church and dedication of keeping to church programs while in Canada not withstanding the time difference, her life was a vivid illustration of love in action.
Though our time together was brief, the lessons she imparted through her daily acts of kindness and her enduring optimism in the face of adversity will remain with me. Mummy’s legacy is not just in the lives she touched directly, but also in the inspiration she instills in us to live selflessly and love wholeheartedly.
Rest in peace, dear mummy. You may have departed from this world, but your spirit and the memory of your incredible life will continue to guide and inspire all of us fortunate enough to have known you.

TRIBUTE TO OUR DEAR FRIEND AND SISTER
It is said that death is inevitable. But it’s difficult to accept it, especially when the very one that is taken from you is special and beloved.
Your demise has left a great vacuum, and sometimes we wish someone will reassure us that this
is just one of those bad dreams.
Alas, every passing second, minute, hour, and day, the thorny reality of your passing becomes obvious and shattering our hearts to bits.
You loved God so much, and you let your faith in him guide your actions, words, and deeds.
You touched so many lives in different ways. Your exit has created a big gap that will never be closed, but we know it is the will of God, and we have no authority to question him!
Adieu, dear sister!
Continue to rest in the bosom of the Lord till we meet to part no more. Good Night!

Sade, I never knew that I will be doing this now.We were both looking forward with excitement to meeting ourselves physically when destiny brought us close again after many decades of being apart.
I will always remember your words of excitement through Ibukun Bello( our class mate) when you learnt that I was not far from you and I quote” Ibukun, ba mi so fun Jende pe o ti wa ni ehinkule e”
Your daughter told me after your demise of your plan to visit me and Iyabo Taiwo ( another classmate) before the cruel cold hands of death snatched you away from us.
I will not forget our everyday phone calls to check up on each other until that day, I called and called and you did not pick the call and you did not call back and will never call back.
Sade, you were such an amiable person, even as teenagers, I remember vividly that you never loved trouble and you were not a loud person. You were very calm and you loved peace.
Sade we know that God has you in His hands now but we will forever have you in our hearts.
Adieu my back and shine friend. From Jende Olatunji; your secondary school mate

TRIBUTE FROM THE CLASS OF ‘79 of ST LOUIS GRAMMAR SCHOOL OWO, ONDO STATE, NIGERIA.
We the classmates of Folasade Famuyide nee Oluwateru are very saddened by her passing. Though she may no longer be with us, her presence will forever be missed but we will cherish the memories we shared together.
She was a dear friend of 50years. Sade as we fondly called her was a very quiet, kind and easy going person. Simply beautiful inside out. Let us remember her, not with sorrow, but with gratitude for the time we were blessed to have known her. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones during this difficult time.
Rest in peace, dear friend.
You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will always be in my heart, You are one person who has ruled every heart and affected every soul around and outside our home. You were the life of our family and reason for many laughter sessions we had, but today we are left with pain in our hearts and tears in our eyes, missing you from deepest of our hearts. Rest in peace, It always seems like we have all the time in the world, only to realize how fleeting it really is. I wish we had more time to do and say the things we saved for later, which, along with you, is gone forever. I promise to keep you alive in my memories. You were more than just a parent >>>>MAMA

Mummy Ikare as we used to call her before we changed to grandma. You were nothing short of amazing.
After my dad's demise, your husband, my uncle, came to Ile-ife to pick my mum, and we the children so as to start living with you. Only a kind-hearted woman would allow that. And you were one! After all, they said it's the woman that owns the home. You never for once made us feel like we were disturbing you. Not once!
You really cared about our education. I remembered how you pleaded with your husband to follow me to the school I applied to when admission wasn't forth coming. You said since he knew the provost and I had a good score, he should be able to help. Uncle cleared his schedule for that day because we left as early as 7am and we weren't back until past 10pm. And yes, I was given admission.
When my sister gained admission, you handed her acceptance fee to mum. Mum almost refused because she knew you also needed money at that time but, you made her see why she should accept it. You were a very kind and compassionate woman to a fault.
Grandma, you were so concerned about my well-being and it made me confide in you. The last we saw, you asked me if I wanted to marry or if I wanted to further my education. And since I told you no one was in view, you said I should focus on my career then. In fact, you told me the next step to take.
I have a lot to say but Words are failing me.
Oh! How beautiful our reunion would be because someday, we would see at the other side.
Keep resting from life's woes, Grandma.

Your demise has left a very deep vacuum that can not be filled by anyone. We are only consoled by the good life you lived as evident in the wonderful children you left behind and the assurance that you are in a better place. May your soul find rest in the Lord. Adieu mama!
