Obituary of Anna Maria Vitella
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Anna Maria (Annita) Vitella; beloved wife of the late Onorio (1982), cherished mother, grandmother (nonna), and great-grandmother (bisnonna). Anna Maria left us peacefully surrounded by her family on April 16, 2024, at the age of 96. She was born in Casalvieri, Frosinone, Italy to Filippo and Agata Rocca. She married Onorio and together, raised a daughter and seven sons. Anna Maria and Onorio along with their youngest three sons emigrated in 1977 to reunite with their sons who had already settled in Windsor. She worked tirelessly to support her family, and embodied resilience and determination which also characterized her whole life. She was well known for her unwavering dedication, loyalty and generous support to all who knew her. She shared everything she had with anyone in need and always had a loaf or two of her delicious homemade bread ready to eat or send home with any and all who came to visit her. She loved to cook and was happiest when her family was together sharing a meal that she prepared for them. She enjoyed singing as a member of the Voci Ciociare and had formed long lasting friendships with many of the members of the group. Anna Maria is survived by her loving children: Emma (Franco 2018), Domenic (Sandy), Aldo (Nancy), Danny (Marisa, John (Nancy), Enzo, Frank (Laura) and Tony (Yosra). Cherished nonna of twenty-two grandchildren, bisnonna of twenty-five great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandmother of three, each of whom brought immense joy and delight to her life. Visitation will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel), 1700 Tecumseh Rd.
