Obituary of Agnes Kassian
KASSIAN, Agnes G. (Nee Sexton)
Agnes Kassian aged 89, passed away peacefully at her home on April 10, 2024 surrounded by her family. Born on December 25, 1934 in Windsor, Ontario and grew up on the farm in Maidstone. She was the daughter of Edward and Margret Sexton. Agnes was predeceased by her husband Mike (2002) and beloved son Michael (1998). Agnes leaves behind a legacy of love starting with her cherished children Cathy, Mark and daughter in law Shirley. Devoted and loving grandmother to Stephanie (Greg), Michael (Kristy), Amber (Ben), Zackery (Cassandra), Lise-Marie, Devon, Travis and Sarah. Proud Great-Grandmother “Gigi” to Makayla, Issac, Kenzie, Drew, Pyper, Theo, Brody, Ellery, Olivia, Lawson and Grayson. Predeceased by brothers Robert (2005), Bernard (2009) and Paul (2015). Dearest sister to Mildred “Midge” and Marion “Muz”. Missed and remembered by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. After retiring from GM Transmission plant Agnes enjoyed spending time at her trailer at Pine Lake Campground in Bayfield, Ont., and true to her sporting nature, loved bowling with friends and watching sports of all kinds while cheering loudly from her recliner. She will be sadly missed by all those whose lives she has touched.
Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home, South Chapel, 3048 Dougall Ave., (519-253-7236) on Sunday, April 14 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service celebrating Agnes’ life will be held in the chapel on Monday April 15, 2024 at 11:00am. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Maidstone, ON.
