Obituary of Geraldine Rock

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on March 03, 2024 at the age of 100. Beloved wife of Adelard (Del) Rock (2004). Loving mother of Donna Laforet and Michael Rock (Sue). Loving Meme to Dwayne Laforet, Lauri Laforet, Jennifer Levack (Greg), Rebecca Lariviere (André), Bill Rock (Britney), Stephen Rock (Megan), Elizabeth Baillargeon (Michael). Great Grandmother to Samantha Laforet (Jason Dufault), Megan Laforet (Chad Pundyk), Brandon, Nathan and Clara Levack, Ruby Lariviere, Jordyn Nicols, late Cohen Rock, Grayson and Maggie Baillargeon. Great great grandmother to Hadlee Dufault. 
 
Born in Riverside Geraldine (Nin) was the child of William and Edna (Berthiaume) Lappan. Survived by her sister Noella Hayes (late Jack). Predeceased by Helen and Paul Dufault, Alvin (Buster)and Mildred Lappan, Norman (Babe) and Cora (Teeny) Lappan, Laurent (Peter) and Rose Lappan, Clarence Lappan, Eleanor and Charlie Desjardins, Maurice and Barb Lappan, Clifford (Pepper) and Lucy Lappan, Doris and Omer Jacques, Germaine and Wilfred Miller, Donald and Denise Lappan, William (Bill) and Lil Lappan Blanche and Michael McDonnell, Reta and Bernie Kurek, Theodore and Genevieve Rock, Sister in laws Shirley DeVittori and Eva Reed. 
 
Geraldine was devoted to her families and neighbours throughout her whole life. She was so loved because of her unfailing sense of humour, even in the hard times. She worked hard as homemaker for many; crocheting, covering hangers, scrapbooking, greeting cards, scratch tickets, bingo, etc. She will be very missed by so many.

As per Geraldine’s wishes, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to either The Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada or The Canadian Cancer Society.  

Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Banwell Chapel 11677 Tecumseh Road E. (519-253-7235) on Wednesday, March 6th, 2024 from 3-9pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday, March 7th, 2024, at Ste. Anne’s Parish (12233 Tecumseh Road E.) from 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. with Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Ste.
