ALBANO-Maria Rosa "Lobba"

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Maria Rosa Albano, nee De Marco “Lobba". Maria Rosa is now reunited with her loving husband in heaven, Giuseppe Albano. She was the loving mother of Rosarina Probert (David), Salvatore (Lisa), Franca, and Doris Lapico. Maria Rosa was an adoring little nonna to Samantha (Georgeo), Alexia, Andrew, Dylan, Jessica, Bianca, and Nicholas. Bisnonna to Geovanni. Predeceased by her parents Francesco and Rosina De Marco, Maria Rosa was a sister to Battista, Antonietta, and Luigi, and daughter-in-law to Salvatore and Rosarina Albano. Sister-in-law to Luigi, Vincenzo, and Antonio. She is survived by her brother-in-laws Mario (Costanza), Sistino (Rosetta), and sister-in-laws Maria, Yolanda, and Mena. Loved by many nieces and nephews. Born on May 19th, 1940, in San Giovanni in Fiore, Maria Rosa came to Canada in 1970 to work hard and provide opportunities for her children in a new country. After a courageous battle with Parkinson's, she passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 9th, 2024. We will forever be grateful to her Caregiver team, Susan, Melissa, Claudia, Gloria, Elka, and Kirandeep, and hospice. Maria Rosa's legacy will always be remembered for her resilience, strength, and her motto to "keep going". I love you more. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave (519)253-7236 on Tuesday February 13, 2024 from 2 to 5pm and 7 to 9pm. Prayers Tuesday at 4pm. Funeral services on Wednesday February 14, 2024 at 12:15 pm from the funeral home then to Corpus Christi for Mass of Christian burial at 1:00pm. Entombment Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
