MALTESE, Giovanna Anna
Passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on February 5, 2024, at the age of 93. Reunited with her beloved husband Alberto (2012) Loving and devoted Mamma to Vito Maltese and wife Vita of Italy, Nicolo Maltese of Amherstburg, Rosa De Luca and husband John of LaSalle, Riccardo Maltese and wife Jackie of Lakeshore. Cherished Nonna and Bis-Nonna to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nonnina had a special bond and place in her heart for her great-grandson Adrian. Predeceased by parents, Nicolo and Nunzia Maltese, and siblings Antonino, Filippo, and Simone. She is survived by her sisters Anna Bonafede and Giuseppina Gerardi, and many nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada and Italy. Giovanna was a family oriented individual who was very proud of her family. Her unconditional love was ever evident in ensuring that family was always top of mind in all of their needs. The family wishes to express their sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Hospice of Windsor and Paramed for their compassionate care provided to Giovanna. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519) 253-7234 on Sunday, February 11, 2024 from 2:00 - 5:00pm and 7:00 - 9:00pm. Parish prayesr Sunday at 4:30pm. Funeral Service on Monday, February 12, 2024 at 10:15am from the funeral home then in procession to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Windsor-Essex County.
