FITZPATRICK, Robert William

Passed away peacefully on February 4, 2024, at the age of 79. Beloved husband and best friend of Felicia (nee Fanelli) for over 53 years. Loving father to David (Paula), Mark (Sheree) and Gianna Smith (Ryan). Cherished Papa of Luke, Cole, Jake, Quin, Jaxen, late Hunter (2006), Jace, Mason, Maddy, Kenedi, Lily, Kenzy, Tanner and Santana. Son of the late William and Irene Fitzpatrick. Dear brother of late Margie (1996) (Paul), Ken (Tammy), Mary (Lars), Theresa (Mike), Joan (Stew), Rosemary (David) and Gerald (Susan). Son-in-law of the late Costantino and late Magrina Fanelli. Brother-in-law of Danny (Michele) and Mary (late John). Survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that are like family.

He was a man of faith, generous with his time, kind hearted and of faultless character. Robert was a baseball and hockey coach for many years, avid sports fan and player and the grandkids biggest fan. He was also a volunteer for the Tecumseh Baseball Association and very active in the community for over 45 years. Retired after 48 years from Hiram Walkers and Credit Union Family. Robert was well known by everyone for his long stories and “Bob jokes”. The family would like to thank Dr. E. Dyer, Dr. W. Albus, the nurses and doctors of the Emergency Room, ICU and 8^th floor Neurology Unit at WRH – Ouellette Campus for their compassionate care and support.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Good Shepherd Parish, 462 Advance Blvd., Tecumseh on Saturday, February 10, 2024, for the memorial visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. Private family interment to be held at a later date.
