Obituary of Stanislaw Matwijiw

Passed away peacefully on January 30, 2024 at the age of 79. Loving husband and soulmate to Bernadette (nee Peltier). Proud father of Sherry-Ann Trombley (Rick), Stan Matwijiw (Christina), and bonus daughter Colleen Van Weerden. Cherished Papa to Brett, Chantelle, Aydan, Hudsyn, Ashley, and Joshua. He will be missed by his brother Walter Matwijiw (Kathy). Dear brother in law of the David Peltier (Bonita).

Stanislaw was an avid sports fan, whether it was hockey, football, golf, soccer, or lacrosse. He was a consummate family man who was always there for those he loved.

Memorial visitation will be held at Most Precious Blood Parish (1947 Meldrum Rd.) on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 from 9:30 - 10:30AM. Funeral Mass at 10:30AM. Interment of Cremated Remains to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to The Windsor Cancer Society or The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
