Obituary of Ela Fromm

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved, Ela Fromm at the age of 93 on Monday, January 22nd, 2024. Predeceased by loving husband Emil Fromm (2016) with whom shared 51 years of marriage. Survived by cherished children Albert Fromm, and Lena (Massimo) Sperduti. Devoted Oma to Jessica (Owen), Alyssa, and Amber Sperduti. Predeceased by siblings Meta (Stanley), Marta, Lydia (Robert), Freida (Bill), Ida, and Gustav. Sister in law to the late Marie (late Fritz), late Walter (Elfriede), late Ewald (late Frieda), late Meta (late Otto), late Wilma (late Adolfh), late Richard (Anne). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Ela enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and gardening. She was a devoted Oma to her three granddaughters, she would often bake with them, teaching them her recipes. She was sassy at times, and her personality was one of a kind . She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ela’s niece Meta (Paul), friend Nancy, and the staff at Banwell Gardens for their exceptional care provided to Ela during her lifetime.

Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Banwell Chapel 11677 Tecumseh Road E. (519-253-7235) on Friday, January 26th, 2024 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, January 27th, 2024 at 10:30am until time of service at 11:30am.
