Lappan-Denise Lydia(nee Pierre) (1928-2024)
Passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 21, 2024 at the age of 95.
Predeceased by her loving husband of 72 years, Don Lappan.
Loving mother of the late Peter Lappan, late Marc Lappan, Marguerite (Mike) LaRocque, Suzette (late Steve) Brunton, Jeanette Ducharme, Donald Lappan Jr., Marie (Jake) Lanoue, Raymond (Cathy) Lappan, Annette (Larry) Ducharme and William (Diane) Lappan. Loving Mémé to 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Born in Ford City Windsor, Denise was the daughter of the late Robert and Aurore Pierre.
Dear sister of Rose Brothers (late Donald),late Gerard and Mary Anne Pierre, late Marguerite and Theobald(Tic) Cecile.
Survived by sisters-in-laws, Geraldine Rock(late Del), Noella Hayes(late Jack), and Lil Lappan(late Bill)).
Dear sister-in-law of the late Helen and Paul Dufault, late Alvin(Buster) and Mildred Lappan, late Norman(Babe) and Cora(Teeny) Lappan, late Peter and Rose Lappan,Paul Lappan, late Eleanor and Charlie Desjardins,late Maurice and Barbara Lappan, late Clifford (Pepper) and Lucy Lappan, late Doris and Omer Jacques,late Germaine and Wilfred Miller, late Blanche and Michael McDonnell and the late Reta and Bernie Kurek. Daughter-in-law of the late Guillaume and Edna Lappan.
Denise was an avid student and athlete in her youth. After graduating from her studies in business, she was employed with the township of Riverside in the tax department. In 1949 she married the love of her life Don and settled in the Town of Tecumseh raising a large family. Denise was a pillar in the successes of her family's achievements in addition to the family business, Excelsior Monuments.Behind the scenes, in her reserved quiet manner, she was often immersed in many projects supporting her family and the Tecumseh community.
She was a member of the Catholic Women's League (CWL) of Canada and the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 261 Ladies’ Auxiliaries.
Denise will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd E on Thursday January 25, 2024 from 2 to 5pm and 7 to 9pm. CWL Prayers Thursday at 3:00pm.Parish Prayers at 8:00pm. Funeral services on Friday January 26, 2024 at 10:15am from the funeral home then to St Anne Church (Tecumseh) for funeral mass at 11:00am. Interment to follow at St. Anne Cemetery.
