Antoinette, Cynthia, Paulette, Valerie and to all of your immediate family members, I want to take this opportunity to offer my sincerest of condolences on the loss of John and regret that I was not able to see him recently one last time but, I can tell you that the memories I have of him will live on and leave an impression on me notwithstanding. My first memories of John were when I was dating Rene and the times he would take me golfing and talk about the Red Wings. I have to say he had to have a lot of patience with me with respect to my golf game but, that was the type of guy he was and I learned a few things from him. I also vividly remember being at mine and Rene's wedding reception and John pulling me aside and saying to me, "You take care of Rene and treat her right or else you will be hearing from the family and him in particular." Again, very protective and proud of his family and not afraid to state his opinion on things- again, the type of man that he was. The most important thing about him that I observed was his love and dedication to his family - this was so evident. I can only imagine the difficulty you are going through at this point in time and all I can say is that with faith, our Lord will help you navigate this challenge and with a little help from your husband, father, father in law and grandfather know that John will always be there for you all. 2019 / 2020 O'Reilly Cup : Quickest return from the Disabled List Award goes to John 'Battleship' Hanna a quadruple heart bypass, a hip replacement, couldn't hold this veteran down. He even dropped in to Tecumseh Arena lately to advise us about his recovery " I'm coming back to play hockey." John will be remembered for his words of encouragement on the ice and feisty style of defence. Condolences to family.
