Obituary of Eileen Clara Bourdeau (nee Girard)

Passed away at the age of 87, on January 10, 2024. Beloved wife of 62 years to Kenneth. Cherished mother of Leonard (Bernadette), Thomas, and Matthew (Julie). Proud grandma of Sarah and Stephan. Predeceased by her parents Louise and Albert. Special niece of the late Dale Normandeau. She is survived by many cousins, and extended family.

Eileen was a past proud member of Sweet Adeline’s of Heart of Essex Chapter. She also enjoyed her time spent in the choir at Our Lady of Atonement. Eileen enjoyed taking day trips, and appreciated art in many forms. She enjoyed spa, nature and classical guitar music. Eileen also enjoyed nature, listening to the singing birds and the green trees of summer. Her favourite animals were dogs and horses, where she would comment that they were “Angels in disguise”. She made friends easily, and was supportive and encouraging to others. Above all, Eileen loved her family. They filled her heart with pride and joy.

Visitation will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME - BANWELL CHAPEL, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7235) on Sunday, January 14, 2024, from 2:00 pm until time of Prayer Service at 4:00 pm. Cremation to follow.
