Obituary of Nikola Erdeljac
ERDELJAC, Nikola (Nick)
January 26, 1931 – January 5, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nikola Erdeljac at the age of 92 years. Beloved husband of 65 years to Darinka (2021). Loving Tata of Daniel Erdeljac and Jasmin (Michael) Dmytrow. Cherished Dida to Kayla (Tyler), Maddie, Ryan (Jenn) and Olivia and great grandfather (Dida) to Haileigh, Ethan, and Jacob. Nikola was born Srednje Prilisce Croatia to Nikola and Ana Erdeljac. Stepbrother to Ana Pavlakovic, Ivan Erdeljac, and his late sister Ljuba Pavicic. Brother-in-law to Barbara Lorkovic and Bozica Dukovcic. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
He came to Canada in 1957 with determination of building a better future for his wife and himself. In 1958 Darinka joined him in Timmins and having had nothing but great love and commitment to one another they built a beautiful life filled with many wonderful memories of hosting many gatherings and celebrations. Nick was always smiling, socially outgoing and a hard-working selfless man who was devoted to his family. He kept himself busy either tinkering in his work shed, loyally following the Windsor Spitfires, tending to his garden, or just lending a helping hand to others. He will be fondly remembered for his love of music, singing, playing to his accordion, dancing with his wife, pig roasts and story telling.
We will always miss both you and Mama but we find comfort in knowing that you are now reunited with Mama and the two of you are singing and dancing togther again!
