KEGLEVICH, Tillie (nee Prpich)

October 8, 1924 - December 26, 2023

Passed away peacefully on December 26, 2023, at the age of 99. Dear mother of Janis McIsaac and Lucy Sorrenti. Cherished grandmother of Jenifer Prior (James), Cristian McIsaac (Mary), Paul Sorrenti (Raquel) and David Sorrenti. Loving great-grandmother of Grace, Noah, Alyssa, Anthony, Adam, and Emma. Sister of late George and surviving wife Betty, late Eli and wife Lillian, Ann and late husband Joe, and Joseph (Donna). Caring aunt to her nieces and nephews.

Tillie was born on Wednesday, October 8, 1924, near Karlobag, Croatia, second child to Eli and Mary Prpich (nee Brkljacic). Her parents immigrated to Windsor, Ontario when she was 18 months old. Tillie often reflected on how she loved going to school and playing sports when she was young, however that time was cut short to help her parents. She later went back to school, earned her credentials, and took a job at the Essex County Civic Centre, Engineering Department where she worked for 30 years as Secretary to the County Engineer.

Tillie was an independent lady and a gentle soul. She always put others first. She was always looking for a good cup of coffee and someone to share a drink with her. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family; her cabbage rolls, palačinke, kiflice and apple pita were some of her greatest hits. Tillie remained active throughout her life and loved walking outdoors, especially on the trails in LaSalle. She loved to travel and most enjoyed her trips with her family to Toronto, Chicago, Texas, Montreal, east Coast Canada, Jamaica, Hawaii, Croatia and Disney World.  A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Huron Lodge and HDGH - Emara.  Memorial donations to a charity of your choice will be gratefully appreciated by the family.

Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - South Chapel (3048 Dougall Ave.) on Sunday, January 7, 2024 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Parish Prayers at 7pm. Visitation will continue on Monday January 8 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (804 Grand Marais Rd. E.) from 10:30am until the Funeral Mass at 11am. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
