Obituary of Ivan Mikulandric

MIKULANDRIC, Ivan Jan 11, 1939 - Oct 14, 2008 It is with heavy and saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Ivan at the age of 69 years. Born in Grdun, Karlovac, Croatia and immigrated to Canada in 1974. Devoted husband to Ljubica (nee Pavlic). Loving Father of Jasna, Nancy, and Marina. Beloved grandfather of Laura. Predeceased by parents Stjepan (1984) and Mara (1971). Also predeceased by sisters Jela, Jana, and Mara. Survived by brother Nikola, and sister Ljubica; all of Croatia. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Croatia, Germany, Windsor, Hamilton and Mississauga. Ivan was a retired employee of Ford Motor Company after 26 years of dedicated service and a member of CAW Local 200. Mr. Mikulandric was also a member of St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church, a Charter member of the Knights of Columbus, Kardinal A. Stepinac Council #11774 and a 4th Degree member of the Fr. Alphonse Kerchaert Assembly #2289. Ivan will be remembered for his hard work, and his dedication to his family and friends. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Thursday, October 16, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Third Degree Knights of Columbus prayers and Fourth Degree Presentation of the Chalice Friday at 7:30 p.m., followed by Parish prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral Services on Saturday, October, 18, 2008 at 9:15 a.m. from the Windsor Chapel then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
