Obituary of James Virgili

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our adored dad Jim Virgili on December 10, 2023 surrounded by his family. Loving and devoted dad to Grace and Nicholas. Reunited with his parents Silvano (2022) and Edda (2018) Virgili. Survived by his sister Silvia (Larry), and his brothers Fred, and Jerry (Debbie). Cherished uncle to John, Olivia, Melissa, Aaron (Megan), and Josh. He will be sadly missed by many friends, co-workers, neighbours (Rick, Gerry and Rochelle), cousins and extended family in Italy. Jim was a hard working and dedicated Mason Tender for Artisan Masonry for 33 years, and a proud member of LiUNA 625 Labourers International Union for over 35 years. He will be remembered for his great sense of humour, laugh and fun loving personality. Jim enjoyed spending time in the kitchen with his kids making home-cooked meals and watching sports with his son Nick. Above everything else, the most important thing in Jim’s life was his children Grace and Nick. A special thank you to the staff at Ouellette Campus for their compassion and care during this difficult time.

Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd E. 519-253-7234 (tel:519-253-7234), on Friday, December 15, 2023 from 2:00-4:00 pm and 5:00-7:00 pm. A funeral service will take place in the chapel following visitation at 7:00 pm. Cremation will take place at a later date. In memory of Jim, donations can be made to the ALS Society of Canada.
