Obituary of Antonio "Tony" Serrano
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Antonio “Tony” De La Cruz Serrano, on December 9, 2023. Loving husband of 40 years to Natalia “Nanette” Serrano. Proud and cherished father to Moksha and Micah Serrano. Survived by Dolores “Bheng” Ladia (Norman), Roger Serrano, Amelia Tolentino (Rudy), and Carmelita Garcia (Deogracias). Reunited with his parents Bonifacio Serrano and Virginia Simpao De La Cruz Serrano, and his siblings, Adela and Ricardo Serrano. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews, and extended relatives.
Originally from the Philippines, he made Windsor, Ontario, Canada his home. He was an active member within the Filipino Community and St. Alphonsus Parish, and was also known for his volunteer work with other organizations within Windsor and Essex County. He will be remembered for his positive nature and always lit up the room with his infectious smile. He will surely be missed as no words can truly express or capture how he impacted anyone he met.
A visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave. Windsor, ON 519-253-7236, on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 2:00-4:30 pm and 6:30-9:00 pm. Parish prayers at 4:00pm in the chapel. 6:30 pm Knights of Columbus Prayer service. 7:00pm Novena for the Faithful Departed. Visitation will continue on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 9:00 am at St. Alphonsus Church followed by the funeral mass at 10:00 am. Cremation will take place following.
