Obituary of John Wallace

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 72 on November 24, 2023. Beloved husband of April Burress. Cherished father of Christina York (John), Stephanie Polachok (Dave), and Melissa McCourt (Matthew, 2021). Proud Papa of Ava, Caitlin, Norah, Chloe and Ivy. Dear brother of Jean Snow (the late Don), Gloria Sheehan, and the late Paul Wallace. Reunited with his parents Doris and Stan Wallace. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and his GM colleagues and neighbourhood friends.

John retired in 2009 from the GM Transmission Plant after many years of dedicated service. During his retirement, John enjoyed woodworking, Corvette shopping, and spending time with his 5 granddaughters.

Visitation will take place at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - Banwell Chapel, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7235) on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Service at 1:00 pm in the Chapel. Cremation to follow.
