Obituary of Margret Eastlake

EASTLAKE (nee Reid), Margret Ann

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden, yet peaceful passing of Margret Eastlake. Predeceased by her husband Larry (2008). Mother of Christine, Moya (Larry), Phyllis (Rick) and Eric (Tina). Proud grandmother to nine grandchildren (Adrianne Briere and Michael, Neil Libby and Laura, Colin Darling and Sarah, Cameron Berge and Jesse, Zachary Berge and Jordanne, Mollie Berge, Chloe Eastlake, Caitlin Eastlake, Caleb Eastlake and predeceased by Mitchell). Wonderful great grandmother to nine great grandchildren (Myles, Carson, Cohen, Toby, Colt, Liam, Aiden, Lucas, Evelina with another on the way). Loving sister to Jack Reid (1993) and Elaine, Moya Mantha and Wayne (2021) and Mick Reid. She leaves behind in-laws Lynn Reid, Patricia Brideau (2008) and Paul, Sandra Major (2013) and Ken and Audrey Labute (Paul). She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Margret was well known amongst the parish of Most Precious Blood Church for her dedication and involvement. She was a proud member and past president of the Catholic Women’s League since 1979. She assisted in many events, she was most comfortable in the kitchen catering, organizing and so much more. She was involved in so many things, from the St. Andrews school PTA to being the Treasurer for the resident’s committee at Country Village Homes in Woodslee, and became the floor representative for the residents committee at Huron Lodge shortly after she arrived there 11 months ago. A special thank you to the staff at Country Village Homes in Woodslee for her initial long-term care facility stay and the staff of Magnolia in Huron Lodge in Windsor.
