Dear Domenico, Vincenzo , Manuela and family, I was shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of your dear father Sam. He was a great friend, chef, entertainer and all around wonderful man. He was such an important part of so many people's lives and we are all the better for it. Our memories of both Sam and your mother will keep them alive in all of our hearts for years to come. I send my love and best wishes to all of you.

Brigantino was always my special place to celebrate for many years! My youngest daughter Chiara would dance with Sam everytime we went, from the time she could walk. My husband and I would dance between the tables as well! Sam always made us feel like family when we were there. Loved hearing him play his music and when he took the time to sit and have a drink with us! My heart breaks for his family and all of his friends, as he will be truly missed. My sincerest condolences to you all. Rest in peace Sam. Love you!

We are very saddened on the loss of our beloved SAM. We will treasure many many memories of Sam’s amazing cooking but most of all his jokes as he sat down at our table at his various locations of Brigantinos since 1986.. So many times we laughed and danced around the restaurant listening to music entertainers joined by Sam on his guitar or having a member of his family sing with her beautiful voice. SAM was happy to make my 75th. birthday special when he cooked my favourite dish Veal Brigantinos at my daughter’s home for all our friends. To his children and all of his family, Sam’s love will never leave you. He STILL is an AMAZING Loving MAN now in heaven! Love you Sam Betty Ponic

Dear Domenico, Vincenzo , Manuela and family; On behalf of my children , myself , my friends who became friends to your family through your Dad Sam and your Mom Amy, we are so sorry for the loss of your Dad. He was so kind and caring as was your Mom and spent many Saturdays with us after the customers left, eating with all of you. We attended many Theatre dinner parties and held all of our staff parties at Brigantino for many years. We met so many friends of friends who became our friends as well. Sam was like a Dad to my girls and made all of my sons feel so at home bringing their first dates to your family restaurant. I know Sam and Amy are watching over you from Heaven and will be missed.
