Obituary of Joseph "Joe" Fauteux
Passed away suddenly surrounded by his loving family on November 4, 2023, at the age of 77. Beloved husband of 55 years to Jeannie (nee Reitzel). Cherished father of Nicole, Joe (Tanya), Jamie and Jeff (Natalie). Proud Papa of Christian (Ava), Cole, Jacob, Evan and Lily. Loving Yaya of Madeline and Dina. Surrogate Grandpa of Nabeela, Sahana and Kavana. Loving son of the late Louis and Elizabeth. Devoted son-in-law of the late Ed and Madelyn. Dear brother of Margaret (late Raymond), John (Beth), Mary, Martha, Barb, Greg (2007), Cathie (Rick) and the late twins, Marilyn and Carolyn. Special brother-in-law of Judy. Brother-in-law of Greg (Penny), Leslie (Larry), Lisa (Randy) and late Christine. Godfather of Heidi (Kevin) and Kennedy. Fondly remembered by Chelsea and Todd. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Joe devoted his life to his family - the hardest working guy we knew who never hesitated to help anyone in need. His generosity knew no bounds. Joe was honoured to have served as a Firefighter at Windsor Fire and Rescue Services for 35 years, where he retired as Acting Assistant Deputy Chief.
Visitation will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME - Banwell Chapel, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7235) on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Prayers at 3:30 pm. Firefighter walk-through will take place at 7:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to meet at Our Lady of Guadalupe (834 Raymo Rd.) on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, from 10:15 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Cremation to follow.
