Obituary of Hugh Lowe

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Hugh Ethelbert Lowe on October 28th, 2023, in Windsor at the age of 85. Son of Dorothy Lowe Gardier and Litchfield Daniel. Cherished father of Anne Lowe, Jackie Lowe, Burt Lowe, Ovalyne DuBois (2003) (Dexter) and Sharon Akan (John). Loving grandfather of Myles Mayers, Jade Barrette (Dylan), Cadeisha Mayers, Marissa and Denzel DuBois. Proud Great-grandfather of Nomi and Lola Barrette. Previous spouse of Maureen Lowe (2012). He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends in his homeland Trinidad & Tobago and the US. 

Hugh immigrated to Canada in 1969 and he became a Canadian Citizen in 1987. He was gainfully employed at Chrysler Canada and retired after 30 years of service and was a Member of Local 444. 

The family would like to thank the staff of WRH - Met 6th floor, Bayshore Home Healthcare and The Hospice of Windsor for all their dedicated care and compassion.

Visitation will take at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME - Banwell Chapel, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7235) on Friday, November 3rd, 2023, from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Life will take place in the Chapel on Saturday, November 4th, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
