Obituary of Bernard Joseph Dawson

DAWSON, Bernard Joseph (BUD)

1931-2023

Passed away peacefully October 16, 2023 with his kids at his side at the age of 92. Best friend and husband of the late Florence (nee Kennette). Awesome Dad to Maureen, Bernie (Maureen McCloskey), Christopher and Mike. Beloved grandfather to Kayleen. Brother to Tom (Toni), Lee Bush (Mike), late Joe and late Joanne & Al Meloche. Survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Dad worked for over 35 years at Windsor Salt Mine. He enjoyed life to the fullest especially with his family. He loved being outside in the sun working on his tan whether it was fishing, tinkering with an engine or going to NASCAR race with his boys. He will be missed by his coffee club at Timmy’s. Special thanks to some awesome PSWs (Jim, Sandy, Breanne & Anne) who helped Dad every day, and the staff on 6^th North at Met Hospital for making Dad comfortable.

Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Banwell Location, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E., Windsor (519-253-7235) on Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 10:30 am. in the Chapel.
