Obituary of Irene Brydges

BRYDGES-Irene (Nee Tremblay)

It is with great sadness and sorrow, we announce the passing of our dear mother, Irene, on October 3, 2023. Reunited with the love of her life, Harold (2012) whom she was married to for 62 years. Loving and caring mother to Cheryl Melhuish (Ray), Gary Brydges (Dianna), Donna Hildenbrand (Matthew), Mark Brydges (Pamela), Brian Brydges (Tammy). Treasured and adored Meme to Todd Thibert, Jason Brydges, Jaimie Voy, Stephen Hildenbrand, Sarah Wagner, Natalie Brydges, Nicholas Brydges, Monica Brydges and Bethany Brydges. Special Great Meme to Bradley, Amy, Jackson, Jordyn (2015), Tyson, Brooks, Brette, Hazel, Thomas and Emmett. Predeceased by her parents Ernest and Laura Tremblay. Survived by many nieces and nephews.
Cherished sister to Leona Rawluk, Rita Giroux, Georgette Cousineau and Shirley Moore. Mom was blessed to have four wonderful sisters to share her life with and whom were a great support system right to the end, a.k.a “the Tremblay sisters”. She loved playing cards pre-Covid in Belle River, Puce and Tecumseh where she met and made many friends. Mom was the heart of our family and she will be forever in our hearts. We would like to thank the VON, especially Vicki Allison, and the Hospice of Windsor, for their compassionate, loving care of our mom. . Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd E, (519)253-7235 on Friday, October 6, 2023 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Family and friends will be received for visitation on  Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Good Shepherd Parish, (462 Advance Blvd), Tecumseh On from 10:30am until time of funeral mass at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Saint William’s Cemetery in Emeryville. If desired, donations in Irene’s memory may be made to the Hospice of Windsor.
