Obituary of Antonina Martinico

101 years.  Born on August 14, 1922. Passed away with family by her side on September 27, 2023.  We announce the passing of Nina, daughter of the late Gaspare and Vincenza (D’Amico) Cammarata.  Reunited with husband Francesco (2000).  Nina left Mazara, Sicily with her 4 children in 1958;  Dino (2021) and his wife Judy (2009), Gasper (Sheila 1993) Janet Smith, John (Liz) and Palma Lori (Dominic).  Dear Nonna to Shelly, Marcel, Frank (Eve), Angela Hunter (Darin), Mike (Ana), Bill, David (1993), Stephanie, Joh-Anne Trusz, Sabrina Cote-Albert (Mike), Trina Holmes (Ryan), Marshall, Mike Prieur, Olivia Lori (Erik), Alex (Lauren) and John Lori.  Great grandmother to 14 grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Will be sadly missed by nieces, nephews and family in Italy.   Nina enjoyed her 22 year career at Hotel Dieu Hospital.  Many thanks to the entire staff at Schlegel Villages at St Clair Talbot neighbourhood for their kindness and the compassionate care she received during her stay there.  Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel – South Chapel, 3048 Dougall Avenue (519-253-7236) on Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel on Monday, October 2, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.  Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.  In Lieu of Flowers, donations to the Charity of Your Choice would be appreciated by the family. www.windsorchapel.com
