Obituary of Antonio Ciaramitaro

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Antonio Ciaramitaro at the age of 82. He passed away with his family at his side. Survived by his loving wife Rosalia (nee LaPerna) and forever dancing partner of 56 years. Predeceased by his parents Carlo and Antoinetta Ciaramitaro, step-mother Rosalia Ciaramitaro, and five brothers.  Survived by his brother Paolo (the late Rosalia), and sister Mimma (the late Paolo) LaRosa.  Adored by his children Antoinetta (Filiippo) Nicoletti, Jacquie (Frank) Brunetto, Carlo (Isis) Ciaramitaro, and Patricia (Spiro) Paravantes. He will be missed by his grandchildren Marie (Sedeem), Lia (Shane), Anthony (Jasmine), Sophia, Alessandro, Mia, Gabriella, Antonio, Zoe, Ellie, and by his great grandkids Aria and Leo. He was a passionate worker learning carpentry at a young age. Moving to Switzerland at age 18 then Canada in 1965, Antonio came looking for a better life. He worked as a carpenter at the Board of Education where he retired after 17 years. He will beremembered by his green thumb in the garden and his competitive scopa playing. He always had a kind word or gesture no matter who he encountered. Antonio will be missed by many friends and family reaching from California to Detroit, and across the world back home in Italy.  A special thank you to the staff at The Village at St. Clair (Colchester Neighbourhood).  Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel – South Chapel 3048 Dougall Avenue (519-253-7236) on Monday, October 2nd from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  Parish Prayers Monday at 4:30 p.m.  Visitation will continue on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral procession to St. Angela Merici Church (980 Louis Ave., Windsor) for Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.  Entombment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.  In Lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society Windsor-Essex County or Windsor Regional Hospital Ouellette Campus Cardiology Program would be appreciated by the family. www.windsorchapel.com
