Obituary of Metta Cora Reid

REID, Metta Cora (nee Kimmerly) Passed away peacefully on September 10, 2008 at Windsor Regional Hospital, Metropolitan Campus, with compassionate care provided by nurses Chantal and Steve. Beloved wife of the late Glen (2004). Devoted mother to Kim Reid and wife Edna, Janice Anderson and husband Bill, Paul Reid and wife Helen, John Reid and companion Ellen. Loving daughter of the late John and Evelyn Kimmerly. Cherished grandma to Carrie, Sherry, Cathy, Charlotte, John Jr., Sydney, Laura and Chris and families. Also survived by several great-grandchildren. Predeceased by siblings Audrey, Eunice, Frank and Evelyn Kimmerly. Surviving are many nieces and nephews. Metta was a retired registered nurse from Metropolitan Hospital after many years of dedicated service and.had a great fondness for puzzles,crocheting, knitting and sewing. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Friday September 12, 2008 from 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Services on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. Rev. Bruce Arthur officiating. Interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens. In kindness, donations to the Arthritis Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
