Obituary of Franca Di Pietro
It is with profound sadness and grieving hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our sweet Franca into eternal life. Greeted with open arms at the Gates of Heaven was her dad Gianni Di Pietro who she missed very much. Predeceased by her Nonno Michele, Nonno Antonio, Nonna Assunta, Zio Joe and Zio Franco.
Caring and loving wife of Michael Posloski. Franca was the adoring and loving mother of Miranda, Gianni Luca, Savannah and Zienna. She loved her children with all her heart and she will be their guardian angel walking beside them every day of their lives. "A mother holds her children's hands for a while, their hearts forever."
She will be missed by her stepchildren, Joshua, Jessica, Jasmine, Justin, Takira and her grandchildren, Destiny, Scarlett, Hudson and Madison. Loving and caring daughter to Pat and Ken Peelar. Adoring sister and best friend to Susie (Tony) Palermo. Caring sister to Darian Peelar (Angie), Erica Di Pietro and Alexa Di Pietro.
Beautiful granddaughter to Antonia Marini. Daughter-in-law of Brian (Carol) and Lisa (Wayne). Dear sister-in-law of Jon Posloski. Franca leaves behind numerous nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins in Windsor, Michigan, Toronto and Italy. She will forever be missed by her Aunt Mary who loved her immensely. Franca also leaves behind her childhood friends that she treated as if they were her sisters.
Franca's passion in her life was her 19 year nursing career. She worked on Tele, CU and the majority of her nursing career was in the ICU at Windsor Regional Hospital - Met Campus. She also worked at Sick Kids Hospital in London, Ontario. If Franca was your nurse, then you were in wonderful and caring hands. Franca had a heart of gold. She respected all of her co-workers and appreciated every one of them and called them "family".
Although throughout the years Franca endured many health obstacles, she always faced them with courage and optimism. She never gave up. She was appreciative of the care provided to her by Dr. lan Mazzetti and the nurses who had cared for her in the past. A sincere thank you to the first responders, the ER doctors and nurses and to the ICU staff at the Ouellette Campus. In particular, to Dr. Michael Riley Jakob for his endless help, kindness and medical professionalism shown to Franca. A special thank you to nurses, Sherry and Sara. Your kindness and your help will never be forgotten by the family.
Franca, we will miss your gentle hug, your beautiful smile and we will miss hearing you say "I love you". You will live in our hearts forever and never be forgotten.
