I saw this man in action as a CO when I started my career in 1992-and I tell ya, He was extraordinary. He gave this Rookie, probably, the Best advice on how to “work with those in our Care, Custody & Control” and I was Smart enough to listen to it and utilize same, throughout the next Three Decades…I still remember the setting & circumstances when such advice was given-after 31 years ! He was a Gentleman to be certain-but no one’s “Fool”-sharp as a tack with a Droll/Dry sense of Humor. He was a heck of a Guy My sincere condolences to All his Friends & Family Respectfully, William Nunnally

Saddened at the loss of Cletus. We attended elementary school together in Bagotville West Bank Demerara Guyana. We remained friends ever since, known to be jovial and loved dressing properly for every occasion. To his children and grandchildren my deepest sympathy. May Cletus rest in peace and rise in Glory.

I started in Corrections in 1989 February and I am proud to say that Cletus and I were in the same class of 6 I started with Cletus at the Toronto East Detention Centre. Later, Cletus and I reconnected at the Toronto West Detention Centre. I am honored to have called him "friend" he was an impeccable dresser and he had both class and grace. I will remember him with both fondness and a smile rest in peace dear friend In sympathy, Ryan Sellick

Cletus and I served together in the Guyana Defence Force. Cletus was a phenomenal character and was always in high spirits that would energized the office.March on Soldier. MY Condolences to his family.

Chuck and I worked in the fields at the Int Center (GDF) Through to the fact he was disciplined, fair, and articulate. Nice person to be around. Ethereal Rest in Peace my friend.

So sad to hear of Cletus’s passing. He was always very supportive, and it was a privilege to work with him at the Windsor Jail. Cletus was the only officer I knew who sent his uniforms to the dry cleaner so that they would be properly pressed for work. He was conscientious and attentive to detail. My sincere condolences to his family. Laurie Arnold
