It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Anton, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, on August 24, 2023 at the age of 78. Beloved husband to Ann (nee Sudac) with whom he celebrated 48 years of marriage. Loving and devoted father to the late Jacqueline “Jackie” Vrbanek (2017), Tina (Justin) Jewhurst and Cindy (Jeff) Garant. Cherished grandfather "Dede” to Chelsea, Tyler and Elena. Predeceased by parents, Marica and Ivan Vrbanek and in-laws, Ljuba and Josip Sudac. Tony is survived by many siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins in Canada and Croatia. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave., South Windsor (519) 253-7236 on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 from 4:00 -8:00 p.m. Parish prayers at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 9:45 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church (1701 Turner Rd., Windsor) for Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy and to honour Tony’s life, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Francis of Assisi Church Building Fund.
