Obituary of Grazyna Drozdowska

Grazyna Drozdowska 1960 ~ 2023

Grazyna Helena Drozdowska, age 63, passed away Saturday afternoon, August 5, 2023, after a brave battle with liver cancer. She was born on May 11, 1960 in Gòrowo Iławecki, Poland to father Marian Gumowski and mother Pelagia Gumowska.

In her youth, she worked as a waitress and married a regular at her restaurant, Grzegorz Drozdowski in 1985. They moved to Rome for a few years, and then eventually immigrated to Canada and lived in Windsor, Ontario.

Grazyna was a hard-working, loving woman who kept busy to support her family. She was a talented seamstress who could mend clothes or create her own dresses. She also enjoyed various other forms of art such as leaf paintings, leather art, beads, vases and interior design.

Grazyna is survived by her three children, Paula, David and Oliver, as well as her husband Grzegorz and two grandchildren, Aleyah and Elliott. She will be missed dearly.

She received excellent care at the Hospice Windsor, and would appreciate donations being made there.
