Obituary of Mary Teresa Morvay

Passed away peacefully on July 26, 2023 at the age of 96. Reunited with her parents Gizella and Istvan Morvay and brother William “Bill” Morvay (Late Gail). Dear sister of Anne (Maurice) Matassa, Leslie (Lynne) Morvay, and sister-in-law Nancy Warren (Bill). She will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Mary emigrated to Canada from Hungary at the age of 10. She was employed at Sterling Drug Company and eventually at the City of Windsor, Social Services Dept. where she was employed for 34 years. She was a fantastic euchre player, visiting all the halls and leagues in the area. She lived for her family, was a lover of animals, and a very selfless, loving and giving person who was always there for you.

Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home, Central Chapel 1700 Tecumseh Rd E. (519-253-7234) on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 10am until the Time of Service at 10:30am. Interment to follow at St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
