Obituary of Laszlo Csapo
Csapo, Laszlo
Feb 1, 1939 - July 24, 2023
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Laszlo, a loving husband, father, nagypapa, brother, uncle and friend on July 24, 2023 at the age of 84. Beloved husband to Marta with whom he celebrated 57 years of marriage. Loving and devoted father to Helen Majorfalvi, Robert (Kim) and Edward (Maggie). Cherished nagypapa to Robert Jr., Ryan, Alexander and Audrey. Laszlo is predeceased by his father Sandor and mother Ilona of Tarpa, Hungary. He came from a family of 7 children and will be deeply missed by his surviving sister Madga and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews in Hungary.
Laszlo was a proud Hungarian man who worked hard his whole life for his family. Before leaving his beloved country he served honourably in the Hungarian Army where he was praised for his many skills and attention to detail. He retired from Chrysler Canada in 2001 after 30 years of service but never really stopped working. He was a man who knew how to do it all. Whether he was building a garage, putting up a fence, fixing a car or gardening, everything he did was for the betterment and love of his family whom he cherished and loved unconditionally. He will be remembered as a man of great strength, courage and determination. Our family would like to express our gratitude to all the doctors, nurses, staff and volunteers at The Hospice of Windsor-Essex County for all their exceptional care of Laszlo and compassion towards our family during such a difficult time.
In Laszlo’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Visitation will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL -Banwell Chapel (11677 Tecumseh Rd E) on Friday, July 28, 2023 from 10am until the time of Funeral Service at 12pm in the chapel.
